2026 Recipient of the Partner Volunteer Award 

Jeff Czajkowski 

Director of the Center for Insurance Policy & Research, National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) 

An influential partner of the Society of Actuaries Research Institute, Jeff has served as a non-SOA-member appointee to the SOA Research Executive Committee for six years, helping shape research strategy, identify emerging areas of importance and connecting the SOA with new research partners. 

Through his service, Jeff has broadened the actuarial profession’s perspective on insurance policy research and encouraged greater exploration of catastrophic risk modeling. He has also contributed to research examining timely issues such as artificial intelligence and unfair bias, the health impacts of extreme climate events, and underwriting considerations in life insurance. His volunteer record also includes participation in the DEI Strategic Research Program Steering Committee and other SOA research project groups. 

As a strong advocate for the actuarial profession, Jeff has helped connect the SOA Research Institute with a wider audience while providing valuable insight into current and emerging insurance issues. His expertise, collaborative leadership and commitment to relevant research have helped guide projects that expand the profession’s understanding of evolving risks.
